We have participated in AICPA peer review for many years as both a reviewed firm and an established reviewer of other CPA firms. David Iles, a Partner-in-Charge at our Ithaca office, serves as a chair of the NYSSCPA peer review committee.
Peer reviews are now mandatory for CPA firms that provide attest services in New York State. Bowers welcomes the Mandatory Quality Review program as both a participant and a reviewer because it supports better standards, stronger accountability, and continuous improvement.
