Passes Peer Review

Bowers & Company CPAs, a Syracuse based accounting and business services company, recently passed the American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) peer review which judges firms on their quality control system for accounting and auditing practices.

Carl I. Austin, Jr., CPA, Co-Managing Partner of Bowers & Company, CPAs explains, “Receiving this review demonstrates to the public and other referral sources that our company has a high level of quality in our audit process and financial statements.” In the review, the AICPA quality control test encompasses the firm’s organizational structure, the policies adopted and procedures established to provide it with reasonable assurance of conforming with professional standards. “Our company passed this review without letter of comment. Of the firms that participate, only 17% pass without letter of content. We are proud of this designation, ” Austin states.
